This Cookie Policy explains how Apex Meridian Group LLC (“Apex Meridian Group,” “we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on https://apexmeridiangroup.us. We keep our use of these technologies deliberately minimal, and this page describes exactly what is stored on your device, why, and how you can remove it. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your web browser. They can help a site work correctly (for example, by remembering that you are the same visitor from one page to the next) or, on many sites, to track browsing activity. A related technology, called localStorage, is a small storage area built into your browser. Unlike a cookie, a localStorage entry is not automatically sent to our servers with every request — it simply stays in your browser until you delete it. Both technologies live on your device and are under your control through your browser settings.
What We Actually Use Today
Our website runs on WordPress and is served through LiteSpeed web server technology on our hosting provider’s infrastructure, with a content delivery network (CDN) for speed. Today, our use of cookies and browser storage is limited to two categories:
- Strictly necessary and functional cookies. The LiteSpeed caching and performance layer in our hosting stack may set short-lived functional cookies. These exist only to deliver pages quickly and reliably — for example, to help the cache serve you the correct version of a page. They are not used to profile you or follow you to other websites.
- A preference entry in localStorage. When you accept our site notice, we store a single localStorage entry named apexConsent in your browser. It records only that you acknowledged our policies, so we do not show you the notice again on that browser. It is not a cookie, it contains no personal data, and it is never transmitted to third parties.
We do not currently use advertising pixels, cross-site trackers, social media tracking tags, or third-party analytics cookies on this website. If that ever changes, we will update this Cookie Policy first, before any such technology goes live, and where required we will ask for your consent.
Cookies and Storage at a Glance
The list below names each item we use, what it does, and how long it lasts:
- apexConsent (localStorage entry) — Purpose: remembers that you accepted our policy notice so it is not shown again on this browser. Duration: remains until you clear your browser’s site data for our website. Set by: this website. Contains: a simple acceptance flag, no personal data.
- LiteSpeed cache/performance cookies — Purpose: enable page caching and correct, fast delivery of our pages. Duration: session-based or short-lived; they expire automatically. Set by: our hosting stack. Contains: technical cache identifiers only, no advertising or tracking data.
Our Consent Notice
On your first visit, a notice asks you to accept our site policies, including this Cookie Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Service. When you accept, the apexConsent flag described above is stored in your browser’s localStorage so we do not ask you again on that browser and device. If you use a different browser or device, or if you clear your site data, the notice will appear again because the flag no longer exists.
How to Manage or Delete Cookies and Site Data
You are always in control of what is stored in your browser. Every major browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data through its settings or preferences menu — typically under a section called “Privacy,” “Privacy and security,” or “Cookies and site data.” From there you can:
- Delete cookies and site data for our website only, or for all websites;
- Block cookies from being set in the future, either site-by-site or globally;
- Browse in a private or incognito window, in which cookies and localStorage are discarded when you close the window.
Clearing site data for our website removes both the LiteSpeed cookies and the apexConsent flag. Once the flag is gone, the policy notice will simply reappear on your next visit. Please note that blocking functional cookies may degrade site performance — pages may load more slowly because caching cannot work as intended — but the site’s content will remain accessible.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we change hosting technology or introduce new features such as online retail checkout. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and where the change involves new tracking or advertising technologies we will update this policy before those technologies are used. For details on how we handle personal information more broadly, please see our Privacy Policy; for the rules governing use of this website, see our Terms of Service.
Contact Us
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or the technologies described here, please contact us by email. We respond to inquiries within 1–2 business days, during our business hours of Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM PT.
